I visited seattle back in 2008 as a break and as a learning trip. I managed to shoot some video while going flying with my uncle. This footage is what inspired me to become a private pilot.

OK, let me make it more specific. Tell me what is what, what it is now and why it changed

OK, I will tell you. See the runway indicator (15/33). These are the runway headings at Renton. Runway headings are based on magnetic north. And the magnetic north pole moves over time! So, last year the runway was renumbered to be 16/34 (Renton was shut down for a few days while they did this). The signs (like in the video) and the numbers on the runway itself had to be redone. You will see this when you come in December. So, there you go…
Wow thats really weird how they changed. Does that mean Seatac and Paine changed theirs aswell?
Nope. Ironically, Paine and SeaTac were already at 16/34 so Renton changing just brings it into line. Makes it easier to remember now…
